Contribute to the Pedigree of Holtzapffel Lathes Update

Why create an update to the Pedigree of Holtzapffel Lathes?

In 1986, Warren Ogden published The Pedigree of Holtzapffel Lathes, the most complete list of sale date and owner history for more than 2500 lathes created by three generations of the Holtzapffel firm from 1795 through 1928.

During the past 22 years, a number of Holtzapffel lathes have changed ownership and others have been rediscovered. The Pedigree of Holtzapffel Lathes Update will be an addendum to Ogden's original work detailing the current whereabouts of Holtzapffel lathes, the condition and configuration of the outfit, as well as photos (if available).

Other than our intention to associate a name and general location of current and previous Holtzapffel lathe owners with the related lathe listing, any additional personal information collected at this site will be kept strictly confidential and will not be sold, reused, rented, loaned or otherwise disclosed. See our privacy policy. If you have any questions, please contact us.

Thank you for taking the time to help catalog this important resource.
